Music at Belmont
Belmont is proud to be the home of Bexley Music Service (previously Bird College). Bexley Music joined the London South East Academies Trust in 2021 and offers an extensive programme of musical study including peripatetic lessons, ensembles, orchestra and vocal tuition for adults and children across the borough all based here at Belmont.
The pupils at Belmont benefit hugely from this collaboration through our extensive offer of music lessons to include piano, violin, flute, trumpet, guitar and drums. Our pupils in Year 4 receive weekly Djembe drumming lessons and music forms a key part of our curriculum. Our after-school offer includes a choir lead by members of Bexley Music Service and the school regularly participates in wider events such as the Royal Festival Hall performance.
