Year 5 Trip to the Royal Observatory, Greenwich
In line with our Autumn topic ‘Earth and Space’, we took our Year 5 children to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to attend an all day, space filled Discovery Day! The children had access to the 45 minute ‘Universe on Your Doorstep’ planetarium show, they visited the galaxy room and participated in the ‘Sun, Moon and Earth’ workshop led by an highly skilled astronomer. They had a fantastic day!
Maths24 Winners!
Some of our children went to the civic offices last week to take part in a borough-wide competition - Maths 24. They competed against 5 - 10 other schools from the borough. Our team came first out of all the teams and won GOLD!
Harvest Festival and Food Bank 2023
Belmont remains committed to supporting the community and at this time of year with harvest looming, we have once again asked our families for consumable donations to support our local Women’s Refuge Foodbank. We are overwhelmed by the response! Thank you so much!
LSEAT Trust Awards Evening 2023
London South East Academies Trust held its annual Awards evening this month where they recognised the fantastic accomplishments of pupils across all of their schools and music provision in the last academic year. Congratulations to all of our pupils from Belmont in year 6 last year who were recognised - you are all stars!
